An essay on design, AI, and what still matters
The Website
Isn’t the
Hard Part
Anymore.
So what happens when building gets easier, the tools get smarter, and even the audience starts to change?
Start exploringSame creativity.
Different tools.
A new era.

Good design builds a brighter future.
01The tools
Creative tools
have always
evolved.
I started doing graphic design about thirteen years ago, and in that time the tools have changed almost beyond recognition. What once took hours—or days—can now happen in seconds.

02The friction
The messy part
matters.
My creative process rarely starts with the answer. It starts with an idea, then a wall, then a lot of trial and error. The failed ideas are often what reveal what the problem actually is.
See the processthe part where I normally
figure things out.
03Building is getting easier
It works.
But is it right?
I can describe an interaction and now I can build it. That’s incredible. But a technically flawless website can still be the wrong website. The real challenge isn’t building something. It’s knowing what should be built.
Consider the goalInnovate.
Elevate.
Transform.
We help forward-thinking brands create what’s next.

Change the goal:
Look impeccable
Generate leads
Explain a complex product
Build trust

04The audience
One experiences it.
The other interprets it.
People will still visit websites. But increasingly, an AI tool may explore the site before they do. Your website now has to communicate clearly to two very different kinds of visitors.
Meet both audiencesHuman

A more thoughtful future.
Sees visuals, tone, interaction, and personality.
AI
Reads structure, language, and context.
05What I want to protect
Some things
a summary
can’t give you.
For a few minutes, we get someone’s attention. We can invite curiosity, create trust, and give them a sense of what it feels like to work with a company. That human connection is the part I love.
That’s the point

a sense of who is

06 The why
Building is easier.
Understanding
still takes work.
The real craft is understanding what a website needs to do, who or what it needs to communicate with, and creating something meaningful enough that when a person does arrive, there is still a reason for them to stay.
